Here Today... Gone Tomorrow

As we are waiting to begin our travel (we plan on leaving Monday), Jerry and I are trying to finish up all the sightseeing we can do in Kiev. Hopefully, the next time we return to this city, we will have children in tow. We don't anticipate we will have much time for sightseeing then. Anyway, we took the day Saturday and visited St. Micheal's Cathedral, St. Andrew's Church, and several vendors along the street. They have some cool stuff. We may have more access to internet soon. Please pray for good health. All of your prayers are being felt. We miss you. Please pray for our new friends Jason & Melonie and a quick process for them.

Thank You for calling this morning. I really enjoyed having coffee wtih ya'll over the Internet. It was good to hear ya'll laugh. You have alot ahead of you in the days ahead but trust that God will show you the way. I pray for things to go well. Make sure Jerry takes that football to the orphanage when ya'll go. Ha ha!
You know we will be here to support ya'll in whatever decision you make.
When you call again I bet it is with great news.

Hey Mrs. Hood!
It's Emily Sanderson. Ukraine and its kids are close to my heart. Since my family and I are close to the Halls, and i spent about two weeks over there last summer. I am going back this year in June! So, I was very excited to hear that yall were adopting from Ukraine! I just thought I would let you know that I am praying for all of you.

The Lord your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.
- Zephaniah 3:17 -

Hi Ya'll (that's southern talk in case you forgot).

We are still praying and thinking about you both.

Jerry,

We attended church services tonight at the one of the local churches. The service was a community wide service (singing only) with about 8 different churches participating. There were about 60 people in the choir. One of the songs they sang was Beulah Land and even with that many people singing all I could hear was Uncle Jerry singing that song in my head. I always think about him when I hear that song. Anyway, as I was reminded of him, I thought of you so I said a few extra prayers for the both of you.

You two take care and we will be praying specifically in the next few days.

We love you both.

Ron, Jan and Savannah

Hey! Hope you are having safe travels today. I cannot wait to talk to you both later this week. Jessica got kicked off ROL last night. So now we are down to Amber, Daisy, & Destiney. Lee and I went to Abby's party in Selma on Saturday night. It was lots of fun. Everyone asked how you all were doing and are thinking of you. Lee and I enjoyed hearing about all the homes we have supposedly purchased in Selma. haha. We are getting excited about the move. Hope you are having a great time! Email asap this week, I saw some adorable children's clothes (especially swimsuits) at the NameDropper here in Montgomery. Miss & Love ya'll. Kea

O.K. This name thing had gotten out of hand. Ha Ha. Babushka sounds like something from the Addams Family. Deed sounds close enough to Lee so can your Dad just be Big Lee. Just keep showing them my picture and repeating "Honey"; I know these children will be bright enough to catch on that this is my name. It sounds so silly to be talking about our names for our grandchildren but when you could possibily get 5 grandchildren in one year; your Dad and I feel this is major. Everyone is sitting on pins and needles( except MaMaw Ha Ha) waiting and praying for everything to go smoothly. I pray for healthy children, physically and mentally. I know you said we probably overloaded the Lord and that is why ya'll are on your way to Mariupol; so I have tried to limit my request and I'm sure he had plenty to do just taking care of all the others that are being sent to him for ya'll. I talk with Ms. Whitfield and she was a joy. I told her I would talk to her again toward the end of the week. We miss ya'll greatly and are ready for ya'll to come home with my grandchildren. Take care of each other and know that I love you and know that the Lord is guiding you in the right direction.Stay in touch as much as possbile.
We love you both very much.

Hi,
I feel like I am reading a sequel and waiting for the next book to come out so I can find out the happy ending. I am so excited for you and you are in my prayers daily. I must say I'm a little jealous over Wanda being a Grandmother multiple times over in a few short months and I'm not yet. I admire your patience and persistance and can't wait to see you home with kids in tow.
Love,
Brenda (Grand-godmother)

Hey guys,
I looked up your trip online and you've got a ways to go (as I'm sure you're aware of- especially by the time you read this)! I bet it is a beautiful drive or train ride- however you go. I did notice that they don't have interstates in the Ukraine, though! (Thank you Eisenhower.) Anyway, just know that we are thinking about and praying for you all the time. We can't wait for news and we will support you no matter what!
Love,
Hill
