Welcome Back from Spring Break!!

Hey guys! We are still hanging out in Kiev. We are hoping that we will heae something this week. All it is is a HOPE. There is still the 45 day waiting period and we are in week 2 of the wait.

In the meantime, we have been getting around Kiev like old pros! We have also had the opportunity to spend sometime with anotehr couple who are also waiting on their next referral appointment. It is amazing that you have to go all the way to Ukriane to meet people from Montogmery. We have had a great time with them and are glad that there are some other people around to spend some time with! (Not that Jerry and I don't love being together, but it sure does break up the ole' routine!)

We got to go to church Sunday night for Easter. We attended a small Christian church and really enjoyed the service. A very nice girl sat next to us and translated everything until the sermon. The sermon was delivered in English and tranlasted into Ukrainian. It was a wonderful experience. Ukraine does not celebrate Easter the same time that we do. Their Easter will be in the next couple of weeks. This year, we will get to celebrate the occasion twice!

We hope everyone is doing well at home and that SP and OM are off to a running start after Spring Break! My thoughts go out to all of the senior teachers. . . Hang in there!!

Thank youf or your continualk prayers and support. We are beginning to get anxious about an appointment and pray that it will come soon, but most importantly, in God's time. Please pray that we will be able to move through the process quickly and that another appointment is looming!!

Amanda

Hi,
It was so good to see another update. We seem to wait while holding our breath. Emily & I were talking yesterday that we know it's either good news or bad news when we don't hear for several days. I am praying continually for the appointment to be soon and everything to go quickly. I know God is still in control and He will make it in His time. I pray for patience and calm for you both. I'm glad to know you are enjoying some time and that you have met someone to enjoy it with. Take care and always know that I'm praying and holding you in my heart.

Love,
Shirley

Hi There! It was good to hear from ya'll on Saturday. Kea and I spent the day shopping for everything from a maternity Easter dress for her to clothes and furniture for Kylie. I even bought me a couple of Spring Outfits.Surprise! Surprise! Knowing how I hate to buy clothes without you. Easter was very nice. We really enjoyed going home to Church Street and seeing everyone. We all went to the club for lunch; and everyone there sends their love and prayers to you both. Hope the weather has gotten warmer. Stay in touch and give each other a big hug from me.
Love you,
Honey

Hey There,
The roofers are working on the house today so the yard is a mess. Dad and I hope to take off Thursday to start throwing away(like to the dump) before we put the house on the market, I am really ready to get it sold and get moved. Don't know where but God will show us the way. I need to get those boxes out of your basement. I will probably call Harley and Holly tonight and see when is a good time to get them. Elizabeth and Clay are in Italy( finally a honeymoon). She spent her 31st birthday yesterday in Pompeii. How cool is that? Who would have thought that two little girls from Selma would in up in Kiev and Pompeii? Your brother has calmed down now that the house selling and buying is coming to a close. I think he might live without medication. Ha Ha. Thank heaven for Kea's level head. We all send our love and prayers for the wheels of govenment to move quickly. Stay in touch.
Love, Honey & Big Lee

Hey hey! Glad you enjoyed the ROL update. It was a good one :) Hope you are both doing well and staying warm. We are meeting with the movers tonight to get a game plan going on the big move and then going to Ms. Brenda's for dinner. I sure am going to miss going to her house for visits and her cooking!! hehe. Lee-Lee is doing much much better now that the sale is moving forward. I agree that he may no longer need to be medicated. Although when I told him last night about all the rooms that need painting at the new house, he almost relapsed. haha. Hope you are taking in all the sights and that you will get an update soon. Miss you! Kea

Hello!
It's exciting to keep up with the two of you on this journey. Check out Martha Stewart's blog for today. She has an article about an Easter bread from the Ukraine with lots of beautiful pictures of landmarks there. Prayers will continue until you and the "family" return.

P.S. Be careful how many little ones you bring back, Amanda--Remember I had a dream that you gave birth to a baby!!

Well children the world is coming to an end. Your Dad and I watched ROL2 last night. Ha Ha-- this only proves that there was absolutely nothing on TV to watch. I can not believe my children are hooked on such a show. ( I couldn't think of a word to describe it). I see why it is not on the Ukraine channels. I couldn't remember which girls were the ones that ya'll were pulling for to not be eliminated. Big Lee and I decided they all needed to be eliminated as well as the young rocker. Keep watching the Animal Planet and CNN-London, maybe they will grow on you.
Hope you hear from you soon,
Honey

Hey, I like Harley Hood too!!! Sound sort of like something a "biker" coach's daughter would be called.
I have been reading other Ukrainian blogs and everyone says the crepes are great. Have you tried them?

Honey
